Who is Eligible?
Medically stable outpatients who meet our criteria for safely undergoing an outpatient endoscopy may be considered for open-access scheduling.
Each patient will be interviewed by a Registered Nurse who will evaluate the patient’s medical history. The patient’s history will also be reviewed by a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for anesthesia safety. If for any reason your patient does not meet our requirements for safely undergoing an endoscopy, the request will be forwarded to the Hershey Medical Center for review and scheduling at the hospital. Your office will be notified that this has occurred. This process ensures a safe setting for each patient for their endoscopic procedure.
